Working principle of scrap metal pre-crusher:
Scrap metal pre-crusher breaks large pieces of scrap metal into small pieces through mechanical force (impact, extrusion, shearing, etc.). The working principles of different types of pre-crushers are slightly different, and common methods include:
Impact crushing: A high-speed rotating hammer or blade hits the scrap metal and uses the impact force to crush it (suitable for metals with strong brittleness or medium hardness, such as cast iron and light metal alloys).
Extrusion crushing: Through the relative movement of the movable jaw plate and the fixed jaw plate, pressure is applied to the scrap metal to make it break under the action of extrusion (suitable for metals with strong toughness, such as steel and copper).
Shear crushing: Use the shear force of the rotating tool or fixed blade to "cut" the metal material (suitable for thin-walled metal, metal pipes, wires, etc.).
Composite crushing: Combining multiple force fields of impact, extrusion, and shearing to adapt to scrap metals of complex shapes or mixed materials (such as mixed scrap after automobile dismantling).

Process flow of scrap steel/aluminum/iron crushers recycling line:
